40 Day Living, the agricultural division of 40 Day Communications, is a certified woman-owned, minority-owned urban farm and nursery in Clinton, Maryland. We grow premium-quality starter plants, native species, herbs, trees and ornamentals—all with purpose and passion.

Led by certified Master Gardener Cheryl Williams, 40 Day Living is built on deep horticultural knowledge, cultural heritage and a commitment to growing both landscapes and communities. From seasonal plant sales to native tree production, we’re helping the region plant smarter, live greener and regenerate soil, space and spirit.

The Leadership Behind the Roots

Cheryl Williams, founder of 40 Day Living, brings over 10 years of gardening experience, a Master Gardener certification and an unstoppable drive to shift the narrative of what urban farming looks like. A trained media professional and USDA farm plot owner, Cheryl grows with intention, documenting every step along the way through photos, video and educational storytelling.

Under her leadership, 40 Day Living isn’t just supplying plants, it’s inspiring a new generation of growers, land stewards and green industry professionals.

Plant Inventory / Includes

Plant materials are available for special order to accommodate a wide variety of installation scopes, including native plantings, pollinator gardens and edible landscapes. In addition, we grow a rotating stock of herbaceous and ornamental plants on our Clinton, MD urban farm.

(Orders are available by delivery only. On-site pickup is not offered at this time.)
